ARK: Survival Ascended Roadmap Reveals 2 Years of Plans

ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled

Studio Wildcard has released an updated roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing content updates extending into late 2026. This Unreal Engine 5 remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved, initially released in November 2023, will receive a steady stream of new content and features.

Key Highlights of the Roadmap:

  • Unreal Engine 5.5 Upgrade (March 2025): This crucial update will significantly boost performance and pave the way for individually downloadable DLC maps, reducing the overall game size. Nvidia's frame generation support will also return.

  • New Maps and Creatures: The roadmap outlines a series of map releases, including free additions like Ragnarok Ascended (April 2025), Valguero Ascended (August 2025), Genesis Ascended (Parts 1 & 2 in April and August 2026), and Fjordur Ascended (December 2026). These will be accompanied by several free community-voted creatures and a selection of premium "Fantastic Tames" throughout the period. A new premium map is also slated for June 2025.

  • Bob's True Tales: This new content drop, previously announced as part of a season pass, will be released in two parts alongside the Genesis Ascended updates.

The roadmap provides a high-level overview of planned content. While specific details regarding the new premium map and some aspects of future updates are still under wraps, the plan promises a significant amount of new content and improvements for ARK: Survival Ascended players over the next two years. Studio Wildcard hints at the possibility of additional unannounced surprises along the way.
