The Battle of Polytopia has just upped the ante with its exciting new Weekly Challenges! This fresh competitive mode adds a thrilling twist to the already engaging 4X strategy gameplay.
From Randomness to Rigorous Competition
Polytopia's charm lies in its unpredictable nature—shifting enemies, fluctuating resources, and ever-changing maps. But this free update introduces a structured competitive element. Each week, every player receives the same map, tribe, and starting conditions, creating a level playing field. The goal? Achieve the highest score within 20 turns. With a limit of one attempt per day, you'll have seven chances to climb the leaderboard.
This new feature offers a unique opportunity to experience tribes you may not own. The game boasts 16 tribes—four included in the base game and twelve available for purchase. However, in Weekly Challenges, everyone plays as the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Elevate Polytopia's Excitement?
The new mode also introduces a League system, designed to add another layer of competition. Starting in the Entry League, your rank fluctuates based on your weekly performance. The top third advances, the bottom third descends, and the middle remains stable. The difficulty also scales with your league progression, starting with Easy AI in Entry League and culminating in Crazy difficulty AI in the Gold League. Missing a week won't result in demotion, but your ranking will adjust based on other players' progress.
