Black Ops 6's Emergence Mission: A Comprehensive Guide
Emergence, the pivotal fifth mission in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's acclaimed campaign, marks a significant departure from traditional gameplay. This guide provides a detailed walkthrough.
Navigating the Kentucky BioTech Facility
The mission begins with Case and Marshall navigating a Kentucky BioTech facility filled with toxic gas, necessitating gas masks. A catastrophic elevator malfunction leaves Case disoriented and hallucinating. Upon regaining control, locate a red-lit locked door. Use a hatchet (found on a mannequin—see image below) to break it open. Proceed through the hallway and up the stairs to an elevator in the central room.
Activating the elevator triggers a zombie encounter (hallucination-induced). Eliminate them with the hatchet. A phone call from the circular desk directs you to the biotechnology room, requiring four director's cards (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow). You'll receive a map leading to the Yellow card.
Acquiring the Yellow Card and Grappling Hook
Follow the map to a yellow staircase. Solve the computer puzzle in the Director's office (answers: "Access" and "Lift") to access the A.C.R. room (more zombies!). The yellow card is held by a mannequin that transforms into an abomination upon approach. Before engaging, gather armor, weapons, and crucially, a grappling hook (image below) from the surrounding area.
Use tactical explosives (C4 or grenades) to efficiently eliminate the abomination and its zombie horde. Retrieve the Yellow Card from the abomination's remains.
Obtaining the Green Card
Use the grappling hook to ascend from the A.C.R. room. To get the Green Card, grapple to the Administration Facility from the security desk. Answer the ringing phone. Find four documents and place them in the file display area. While collecting, mannequins will pursue you; they freeze when you turn around, so maintain distance while sprinting. Document locations:
- Corner desk
- Left side, near a round table
- Center table, near a noticeboard
- Cafe area, near a sink
After placing the documents, grapple the attacking red mannequin repeatedly until it transforms into a Mangler Zombie. Defeat it to obtain the Green Card.
Securing the Blue Card
Grapple to the Joint Projects Facility. Answer the phone. Locate the Blue Card in a glass chamber surrounded by camera stands. A mimic will appear; lure it out by shooting moving objects to defeat it and claim the card.
Retrieving the Red Card
Head to the East Wing (marked on your initial map), following red carpets to stairs. In the resulting room, interact with the console to reveal the Red Card, guarded by a Mangler. Grapple to the upper area, swim through a red tunnel, climb ladders, and eliminate zombies. Unlock a door using a blacklight-revealed code. Activate a timer and turn three drain switches within 25 seconds:
- One in the initial room
- One in the unlocked room
- One accessed via the grapple hook
Drain the water, pursue the escaping Mangler, and defeat it and its horde to obtain the Red Card.
Confronting the Disciple
Insert all four cards into the security desk's system. Take the elevator to the top floor. After a cinematic, engage the final horde and the Disciple in the BioTech room. The mission concludes with a final cinematic revealing the entire encounter was a hallucination.
