Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change
Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies mode, specifically the Directed Mode. A recent update reverses a controversial alteration to zombie spawn delays, restoring them to approximately 20 seconds after five looped rounds. This decision follows significant player feedback highlighting the negative impact on kill farming and camo challenge completion.
The January 3rd update, introducing Directed Mode to Citadelle des Morts, also included this spawn delay increase. This change, along with concerns about potential XP and reward limitations, prompted swift community response. Treyarch acknowledged these concerns and swiftly acted to rectify the situation.
The January 9th patch notes confirm the reversal of the spawn delay change. Further adjustments were made to Citadelle des Morts' Directed Mode, addressing glitches and bugs impacting quest progression and stamp functionality. Fixes also target visual effects glitches and crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud.
Significant buffs were also implemented for the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with the Big Game Augment) have all been increased, and the cooldown timer has been reduced by 25%.
Additional bug fixes and adjustments are slated for the Black Ops 6 Season 2 update, launching January 28th. Until then, players can continue to earn rewards by completing the Citadelle des Morts main quest.
