Unlocking "Under the Straw Hat" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: A Comprehensive Guide

Prerequisites: The "In Vino Veritas" Quest
Before tackling "Under the Straw Hat," you must begin "In Vino Veritas." This quest unfolds in Kuttenberg. Upon arrival, locate Casper Rudolf, offering free wine samples on the city's west side. He needs information to enhance his wine.
You can either directly impress Havel with wine knowledge or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta, gaining knowledge through reading. If approaching Havel directly, ensure you're well-dressed and clean. Selecting "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It's missing ginger" as dialogue options is crucial for obtaining information. Relay this to Casper.
Accessing the Vineyard
Casper then tasks you with infiltrating the vineyard north of Kuttenberg to investigate the incense Havel mentioned. Avoid trespassing by using the main road. Speak with the recruiter; this triggers the "Under the Straw Hat" quest. Proceed to find Jerome on a bench within the estate. Inform him of your assignment. Jerome provides details about vineyard work.
Vineyard Work and Incense Acquisition
Work begins the following day. You can either fulfill work duties (moving sacks, picking thistles) for payment or directly obtain the secret incense.
The incense is located in the cellar of the main building. Access requires lockpicking skills or stealing Jerome's keys. Retrieve the Sulphur Wicks from the cellar chest. Optionally, collect five seedlings for an increased reward (this involves trespassing, so act quickly). If you chose to work, collect your pay from Jerome. Finally, return to Casper with the wicks (and seedlings, if collected).
Completing these steps concludes both "Under the Straw Hat" and "In Vino Veritas." You may then progress to quests like "Master Schindel's Toys."
