CrazyGames is set to ignite the creativity of indie developers with the launch of its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, starting this week. From April 25th to May 5th, this 10-day global game development marathon, in partnership with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider, invites developers to craft innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in the jam will compete for a substantial prize pool of €10,000 in cash and premium Photon licenses. The prizes include a 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year valued at €7,500, a 500 CCU for a year worth €1,500, and a 100 CCU for a year valued at €100. The only requirements for submissions are that the games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to unleash their creativity.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has grown to become the most popular free online gaming platform, leveraging technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI to offer seamless browser-based gaming experiences for thousands of titles. During the event, CrazyGames will not only provide support but also offer the chance for winning games to be published on their platform.
In addition to the jam, a pre-event livestream will be held on April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn. This livestream will provide insights into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, stated, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world's most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more information and to register, visit the official jam page.
