Koei Tecmo has unveiled a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation PRISM, a romance game spin-off of their popular fighting game franchise.
Launching March 27th on PS5, PS4, and PC, the game features a "global version" with English text for Asian markets. Players can engage in mini-games, customize character appearances, and enjoy a tropical island setting. The developers promise numerous avenues for building relationships with the heroines and a deeply immersive romantic storyline.
Venus Vacation PRISM represents a departure for Dead or Alive fans, offering a distinct gameplay experience while retaining the series' signature aesthetic.
However, even this venture has its boundaries. Despite the ongoing popularity of the franchise, Koei Tecmo annually removes approximately 200-300 doujinshi and 2,000-3,000 images of its characters, highlighting the ongoing battle against unauthorized adult fan content.
The Dead or Alive series is known for its fighting mechanics and its attractive female characters, often depicted in swimwear. This has naturally led to a significant amount of fan-created "adult" content. While appreciating fan art, the developers actively combat this specific trend.
