This Fan-Favorite Sims Character Is Finally Making an Appearance in The Sims 4

by Sebastian Apr 06,2025

Attention, Sim enthusiasts! The notorious Burglar is making a grand return to your virtual neighborhoods with the latest update for The Sims 4. Available now on both PC and console, this update brings back the infamous Robin Banks, so it's time to secure your valuables. She typically strikes under the cover of night, targeting homes when everyone's asleep, but don't let your guard down—she's been known to attempt a heist even when Sims are awake.

To fend off this crafty thief, your Sims can install a burglar alarm. If Robin triggers it, the police will arrive promptly to apprehend her and retrieve your stolen items. Even without an alarm, you can still call the police, but you'll need to act fast. Alternatively, if you're feeling bold, you can take matters into your own hands with some vigilante justice.

While burglar events are relatively rare, thrill-seekers can increase their chances of encountering Robin by activating the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc.

"We are incredibly excited to reintroduce the Burglar to The Sims universe," shared The Sims team. "A huge thank you to our dedicated team for bringing this to life. Robin Banks isn't just here to pilfer your Sims' possessions—she's ready to capture your hearts as well! What better way to celebrate The Sims' 25th anniversary than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We can't wait to see the chaos Robin Banks will unleash in your households."

Despite being a decade old, The Sims 4 continues to thrive, and the franchise itself is celebrating its 25th year. Last year alone, it welcomed over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4 reached 20 million unique players in its first four years as a premium game. After transitioning to a free-to-play model in 2022, it saw an incredible surge, gaining 31 million new players immediately and reaching a total of 85 million by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... yet!
