Roblox's Rivals Update 9: Gunblade, Bridge Map, and a Promise of Ranked

The popular Roblox first-person shooter, Rivals, has dropped Update 9, introducing the exciting Gunblade weapon and a new map, Bridge. Developer Nosniy Games provided patch notes highlighting these additions, along with a few minor tweaks. While a smaller update than some recent releases, it still delivers significant new content.

The Gunblade, a dual-purpose weapon combining a rifle and a blade, is a unique addition sure to excite fans. Its versatility should prove advantageous in close-quarters combat, particularly on the new Bridge map. This Seoul-based arena, created by @GreatGuyBoom, is a compact, concrete battleground offering intense, fast-paced gameplay.

This update focuses primarily on the new map and weapon, with no major bug fixes, balance adjustments, or quality-of-life improvements included. Minor skin modifications for the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, along with renaming some weapon skins (Hexxed to Vexed), were implemented. However, Nosniy Games assures players that more substantial changes, including the highly anticipated Ranked mode, are coming in the next major update.

The developers stated their commitment to incorporating player feedback and making necessary improvements before the Ranked mode launch.

• Minor modifications to Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins.
• Renamed skins: Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap are now Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed, respectively.

The developers expressed their excitement about the new map and their dedication to delivering the Ranked update in the next major content drop. They also explained the intentional omission of bug fixes and balance changes in this update to prioritize the Ranked mode's development.
