Hearthstone's upcoming The Great Dark Beyond mini-set, Heroes of StarCraft, is the biggest yet, boasting 49 cards instead of the usual 38. This expansion features 4 Legendary, 1 Epic, 20 Rare, and 24 Common cards, introducing iconic StarCraft factions to the game. The mini-set launches January 21st, accompanied by numerous in-game quests and challenges.
Unprecedented Scale and Variety:
This isn't just about quantity; the mini-set offers significant diversity. Each StarCraft faction contributes 5 multi-class cards, with the neutral Grunty card as a standout addition.
Players can acquire the Heroes of StarCraft mini-set by opening The Great Dark Beyond packs or purchasing the complete 94-card set (standard for 2500 Gold, golden version for 12,000 Gold).
Faction Spotlight:
-
Zerg: Led by Sarah Kerrigan, the Zerg faction focuses on overwhelming opponents with swarms of minions. Their cards are geared towards Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Hunter, and Warlock classes, emphasizing token generation strategies.
-
Protoss: Under the command of High Templar Artanis, the Protoss faction utilizes high-cost cards that decrease in cost over time, enabling powerful, game-changing turns. Their allies are Druid, Mage, Priest, and Rogue classes.
-
Terran: With Jim Raynor at the helm, the Terran faction emphasizes Starship synergies, enabling the deployment of multiple Starships per game. The highlight is a redesigned Battlecruiser with the new Mech minion type. Possessing a Signature Starship card unlocks a Signature-art version of the Battlecruiser.
