Bethesda's acclaimed voice actor, Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, was discovered critically ill in his hotel room last week, prompting a family appeal for support.
As reported by PC Gamer, Johnson's wife, Kim, and family launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover substantial medical expenses and living costs during his incapacitation. The campaign states that Johnson is currently fighting for his life in an intensive care unit.
The situation unfolded after Johnson, who had volunteered to host a benefit for the National Alzheimer's Foundation in Atlanta on January 22nd, failed to appear. His wife's attempts to contact him were unsuccessful, leading hotel security to discover him unconscious and barely alive. Emergency responders had difficulty detecting a pulse.
His prominent video game roles primarily involve Bethesda titles, most recently portraying Ron Hope in Starfield. His extensive Bethesda repertoire includes Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance (Oblivion), three Daedric Princes (Morrowind), Fawkes and Maister Burke (Fallout 3), Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II (Skyrim), and Moe Cronin (Fallout 4), among many others.
