Infinity Nikki's Phenomenal Debut: $16 Million in First-Month Revenue
Infinity Nikki, the latest installment in the popular Nikki series, has shattered expectations, generating nearly $16 million in mobile game revenue within its first month. This surpasses previous Nikki titles by a staggering 40 times, highlighting its exceptional success. Developed by Infold Games (Papergames in China), the game launched in December 2024 and quickly captured the attention of mobile gamers worldwide. The impressive revenue stems from in-app purchases of cosmetic items, outfits, and other features.
The game, set in the captivating world of Miraland, follows Nikki and her cat, Momo, on a whimsical adventure across diverse nations, each with unique cultures. While styling Nikki is central, her outfits possess magical powers crucial for solving puzzles and progressing through the narrative. These outfits are powered by Whimstars, physical representations of inspiration, allowing Nikki to perform actions like floating and shrinking.
Boasting 30 million pre-registrations, Infinity Nikki made a significant impact even before its release. Data from AppMagic (via Pocket Gamer) reveals a strong initial performance, with $3.51 million in its first week, followed by $4.26 million and $3.84 million in the subsequent weeks. While weekly revenue decreased to $1.66 million by the fifth week, the cumulative total still reached nearly $16 million. This surpasses Love Nikki's first-month revenue of $383,000 and significantly outperforms Shining Nikki's 2021 international launch ($6.2 million). It's important to note that these figures only reflect mobile platform earnings.
Infinity Nikki's Record-Breaking Success
China played a pivotal role in Infinity Nikki's success, contributing over 5 million downloads (more than 42% of the total) and significantly boosting its financial performance.
Post-launch, daily revenue peaked at over $1.1 million on December 6th. While daily earnings subsequently declined, reaching a low of $141,000 on December 26th, the release of Version 1.1 on December 30th saw a dramatic surge to $665,000, almost tripling the previous day's revenue.
Infinity Nikki is currently available for free on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The developers plan to sustain the game's momentum through regular seasonal events (like the Fishing Day Event) and ongoing updates to enhance the player experience.
