Insomniac Games' Ted Price Reveals Unmade Resistance 4 Pitch

Insomniac Games founder and retiring president Ted Price recently revealed in an interview with Kinda Funny Games that a Resistance 4 pitch was developed but ultimately never greenlit. While the concept was lauded internally as "wonderful," Price cited timing and market opportunity as factors preventing its development.

PlayHe expressed the team's enthusiasm for continuing the Resistance storyline, highlighting its unique alternate history setting and the untapped potential of the Chimera's origins and future narratives.

The Resistance series, a trilogy of first-person shooters, was developed by Insomniac for the PlayStation 3. The games depict an alternate 1951 where an alien invasion targets the UK. Following the Resistance trilogy, Insomniac shifted focus to other projects, including the critically acclaimed Marvel's Spider-Man series and new Ratchet & Clank installments.

Price's retirement, announced earlier this year after a 30-year tenure, will see Chad Dezern, Ryan Schneider, and Jen Huang take over as Co-Studio Heads. Insomniac's latest release, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, recently launched on PC, with Marvel's Wolverine slated as their next project.
