This brutal action franchise, known for its demanding gameplay requiring precise planning, agility, and lightning-fast reflexes, is taking a sharp turn. The original Ghostrunner games garnered impressive scores, averaging 81% and 79% for the first installment and 80% and 76% for the sequel, respectively.
A newly released image hints at the studio's next project, Cyber Slash, leaving their currently announced Project Swift (slated for a 2028 release) aside for now.

Instead of the cyberpunk setting of Ghostrunner, Cyber Slash transports players to an alternate 19th century, offering a dark and epic reimagining of the Napoleonic era. Prepare for a clash between legendary heroes and terrifying, unknown forces.
While maintaining the series' signature challenging action, Cyber Slash departs from the traditional Souls-like formula. While parrying and exploiting enemy weaknesses remain crucial, the protagonist will undergo a transformative evolution through mutations throughout the game.
