Lies of P DLC and Sequel Announced: A Director's Message and a Glimpse into the Future
Director Ji-Won Choi recently shared exciting news for fans of the steampunk Soulslike game, Lies of P, including a sneak peek at upcoming DLC and the confirmation of a sequel. The message, a heartfelt thank you to the community, also serves as a tantalizing preview of what's to come.
New DLC Details Revealed
One year after Lies of P's successful launch, developer NEOWIZ celebrated with a director's letter revealing details about the upcoming DLC. Choi expressed gratitude for the game's reception, highlighting the team's dedication amidst a busy development period. He emphasized the DLC's goal: to build upon the base game's strengths while addressing previously identified issues.
"We aim to refine what worked well and improve areas needing growth," Choi stated, underscoring the commitment to quality. The letter also extended thanks to Team NOUGH and ROUND8 Studio.
The most exciting reveal? Concept art showcasing P in a snowy, lighthouse-dominated location. This new environment promises a continuation of the game's signature perilous atmosphere.
A new musical piece from the DLC soundtrack was also shared, although it was originally composed in 2022 by onoken. NEOWIZ owns the rights to both the original and the new version, and a music video, reminiscent of Lies of P's style, accompanied the release.
DLC Release Date and Sequel Confirmation
While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch sometime in the second half of 2024, alongside several other titles:

- Cats & Soup: Malang Town
- Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe
- Project IG
Further fueling anticipation, Choi previously released an eight-minute video showcasing early concept art, including an industrial facility and a wrecked ship, hinting at the DLC's diverse environments.
Choi concluded his message by assuring fans that their anticipation will be rewarded, and that the DLC represents only the beginning. A full sequel is currently in development.
