Nintendo Highlights Upcoming Releases In Report
Nintendo Direct In April
Nintendo has reconfirmed several first-party titles slated for release throughout 2025 in their recent financial report. Kicking off the year, fans can look forward to Donkey Kong Country Returns HD on January 16th, followed by Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are also set to launch this year, though specific dates are yet to be announced.
While no other projects have been disclosed, excitement builds for the upcoming Nintendo Direct, scheduled to go live on April 2nd, 2025. The exact broadcast time will be shared later via Nintendo's official website and social media channels. Although the focus is expected to be on the Nintendo Switch 2, fans are eagerly anticipating announcements or teasers of Switch 2-exclusive titles.
Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Ahead Of Launch
The much-anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is also set to launch in 2025, with the financial report suggesting a release in the latter half of the year. To build anticipation, Nintendo will host live in-person Nintendo Switch 2 Experience events across 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, starting in April. While most locations have closed their registration, interested fans can still join a waitlist for a chance to win tickets. For the Japan leg of the tour, ticket applications are open until February 20th JST.

Super Nintendo World Expands To Orlando, Florida
In a move to further expand their IPs, Nintendo is set to open a new Super Nintendo World theme park in Orlando, Florida, at Universal Orlando Resort’s Universal Epic Universe on May 22nd, 2025. This marks the second Super Nintendo World location in the United States, following its debut at Universal Studios Hollywood in February 2023. The Orlando park will feature the vibrant landscapes of Super Mario Land and the lush tropical setting of Donkey Kong Country from day one.
Nintendo also plans to launch Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Singapore in 2025, though further details on this project are yet to be announced.
