Fabled Game Studio's highly anticipated sequel, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, is setting sail! Building on the success of the 2019 roguelike deck-builder, Pirates Outlaws, this new installment promises enhanced features and a thrilling new adventure. Scheduled for a 2025 release on Android, iOS, Steam, and Epic Games Store, the game is currently undergoing an open beta test on Steam (October 25th-31st). Mobile players will need to wait a bit longer for their chance to play.
What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?
Pirates Outlaws 2 introduces a fresh hero with a backstory set years after the original game. Players will start with pre-built decks and unique ability cards, but the strategic depth goes much further.
The game introduces companions, each contributing unique cards to your deck. A new card fusion mechanic lets you combine three identical cards into a more powerful version. An evolution tree allows for deck upgrades, transforming previously discarded cards into valuable assets. Relic acquisition is also changing, with relics found in markets, after boss fights, or during special events, rather than after every battle.
Battles feature a new Countdown system influencing enemy actions, replacing the "End Turn" button with a "ReDraw" mechanic. A revamped armor and shield system adds another layer of tactical depth.
