Pokemon GO: New Adventure Effects Leaked

Summary

  • A leak suggests new Adventure Effects are coming to Pokémon GO with the release of Black and White Kyurem.
  • White Kyurem's Ice Burn slows target rings during Pokémon encounters.
  • Black Kyurem's Freeze Shock paralyzes Pokémon during encounters.

A Pokémon GO leak hints at exciting new Adventure Effects arriving alongside the debut of Black and White Kyurem in early March 2025. These Legendary Pokémon, resulting from Kyurem's fusion with Zekrom or Reshiram (already in Pokémon GO), are finally joining the game during the GO Tour: Unova event on March 1st and 2nd. The leak, originating from Pokeminers, reveals two new effects:

"Ice Burn," linked to White Kyurem, temporarily slows the target ring during Pokémon encounters, aiding in Great or Excellent throws. "Freeze Shock," associated with Black Kyurem, completely paralyzes the Pokémon, preventing escapes and simplifying capture. Both effects promise to significantly improve the catching experience for challenging Pokémon.

Pokémon GO Leak Reveals New Adventure Effects for Black and White Kyurem

  • White Kyurem: Ice Burn (slows target ring during encounters)
  • Black Kyurem: Freeze Shock (paralyzes Pokémon during encounters)

Beyond the Adventure Effects, the leak also mentions a "Lucky Trinket" item. This item reportedly allows instant Lucky Friend status with another player (provided they are already Great Friends or better), though the effect is temporary, lasting only a few hours. This could prove incredibly useful, as achieving Lucky Friend status remains rare even among long-time Best Friends.

While the GO Tour: Unova event is still some time away, the Corviknight evolution line arrives on January 21st during the Steely Resolve event. Five-star raids featuring Deoxys and Dialga are also planned. Finally, don't miss the Dynamax versions of the Legendary Bird Trio in Max Raids from January 20th to February 3rd.
