Pokémon Scarlet and Violet players are slithering into a new event! A Mass Outbreak featuring Silicobra, Ekans, and Seviper is underway, celebrating the Year of the Snake. This limited-time event, boosting Shiny encounter rates, runs until January 12th.
Following the recent Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid event, which concluded 2024's Year of the Dragon, this Mass Outbreak offers a thrilling start to the Year of the Snake. The Rayquaza event, while easily conquered due to Rayquaza's Fairy-type weakness, provided a fantastic opportunity to obtain this rare Shiny Pokémon.
This new event, confirmed by Serebii.net, commenced on January 9th at 7:00 PM Eastern Time and ends January 12th at 6:59 PM Eastern Time. Expect increased numbers of Silicobra (across all land areas), Ekans (Kitakami region), and Seviper (Terarium). Pokémon levels will range from 10 to 65, scaling with player progress in the main storyline. Remember to connect to the internet, access the Poke Portal via the in-game menu, and select "Get Poke Portal News" to activate the event.
