Pokémon TCG Pocket's Blastoise Wonder Pick event continues with a second phase, introducing a fresh batch of cosmetic items to the in-game shop. These new additions include a Blastoise icon, coin, card sleeves, and a stylish Blue and Blastoise playmat.
The event shop, stocked with these new Blastoise-themed goodies and the usual Shinedust exchange, remains open until January 28th. However, players eager to acquire all the event items should act quickly, as event tickets stop being awarded on January 22nd.
Following a holiday season brimming with Pack Hourglasses and free booster packs, the event pace has slowed. Many players, having completed the Mythical Island booster pack collection, anticipate the next expansion, rumored for late January. The confirmation that Pack Hourglasses will be usable in future expansions has spurred many to stockpile them.
This Blastoise event provides a renewed incentive for daily logins. The new cosmetic rewards offer a compelling reason to participate. Players can exchange surplus event tickets for up to 1,000 Shinedust (50 Shinedust per ticket).
Blastoise Wonder Pick Event: A Recap
The event, which began January 6th, initially featured two promo cards: Squirtle and Charmander. These cards boast unique artwork while retaining the standard attack values. The first phase's rewards—a Blue-themed backdrop and a Blue and Blastoise cover—remain available. New missions, tied to Wonder Pick participation and collecting Fire and Water-type cards, award Event Shop Tickets. These missions are cumulative across both event parts. The Bonus Pick also offers additional tickets, simplifying item acquisition. Daily logins are crucial for completing the collection, especially given the rumored inability to trade these limited-edition promo cards.
