The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, titled Shining Revelry, has brought a dazzling array of over 110 new cards to the game, including shiny variants that are sure to catch the eye of any collector. With the addition of cards from the Paldea region, the excitement is palpable. As a player, I couldn't resist diving into the new content, spending my Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs. My luck held out, and I managed to pull a Charizard EX, though the rest of the haul was less impressive. However, snagging a Pokémon Center Lady card was a silver lining, as her ability to heal Special Conditions can be a game-changer when facing off against opponents who rely on debilitating effects like Burn.
Alongside the new cards, the update introduces an Emblem event, allowing players to earn stylish new badges to show off to their friends. But the real thrill comes with the introduction of Ranked Matches. Players can now test their skills against others, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Points earned will be displayed, and at the end of the season—roughly a month—an emblem will be awarded, adding a competitive edge to the game. This means it's time for me to dust off my dueling skills and start crafting some serious decks.
