Pokémon Gold & Silver's 25th Anniversary Merch: A November 23rd Launch

The Pokémon Company has announced a special merchandise collection to mark the 25th anniversary of Pokémon Gold and Silver. The range includes home goods, apparel, and more, all themed around the classic games. These items will be available at Pokémon Center stores across Japan starting November 23, 2024. International availability is yet to be confirmed.
Pre-orders begin November 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. JST via Pokémon Center Online and Amazon Japan.
Prices range from 495 Yen (approximately $4 USD) to 22,000 Yen (approximately $143 USD). Highlights include:
- Sukajan souvenir jackets (22,000 Yen) featuring Ho-Oh and Lugia designs.
- Day bags (12,100 Yen).
- 2-piece set plates (1,650 Yen).
- A variety of stationery and hand towels.
Originally released in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, Pokémon Gold and Silver were lauded for their innovative features, including a groundbreaking in-game clock that affected Pokémon appearances and events. The games introduced 100 new Pokémon (Gen 2), such as Pichu, Cleffa, Hoothoot, Chikorita, Umbreon, Ho-Oh, and Lugia. A remake, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, was released for the Nintendo DS in 2009.
