Just before the world championship grand finals, a familiar tradition in esports game development unfolds: a major announcement. Ubisoft, true to form, has unveiled Siege X, a significant upgrade to Rainbow Six Siege, marking its tenth anniversary.
This isn't a simple patch, nor is it a full-fledged sequel. Think of it as Rainbow Six Siege's equivalent to Counter-Strike 2 – a substantial overhaul that feels like a new game while preserving all player progress and data.
Further details will be revealed during a three-hour presentation on March 13th, featuring a live audience in Atlanta. To commemorate ten years of Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft is also releasing a commemorative pack offering legendary skins from the game's earliest seasons – a comprehensive collection of classic cosmetics.
