Deadlock's February Update: Minor Tweaks, Major Impacts

Valve continues its steady stream of Deadlock updates, this time focusing on a smaller patch affecting four heroes and several items. The changes are significant, however, particularly for Calico and, to a lesser extent, Holliday and Wraith.

Calico suffered substantial nerfs. Her Return to Shadows ability received a ten-second cooldown increase, and 20% of its speed boost was shifted to its Tier 2 upgrade. The damage output of her Tier 2 Leaping Slash was also reduced.

Sinclair received a visual overhaul with updated sounds and animations. More notably, his Rabbit Hex ability has been transformed into an area-of-effect (AoE) attack. Holliday and Wraith also experienced nerfs, though the specifics weren't detailed.

Item adjustments include a nerf to Ammo Scavenger, which now provides fewer stacks and eliminates its health bonus. Furthermore, Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer offer Fire Rate and Weapon Damage boosts, respectively.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025 and the first for February. Valve has adopted a more flexible approach to development, abandoning a fixed patch schedule in favor of releasing updates as needed. This latest patch is a prime example of that approach.
