Locating Professor Lodochka on Wild Island
Begin by proceeding to the mission marker on Wild Island, where Professor Lodochka is situated at Quite's Camp. However, priority shifts to eliminating mercenaries in the area. These enemies are clearly marked, eliminating the need for extensive searching.
Strong equipment is recommended, as further encounters await. After clearing the mercenaries, a path to Lodochka is revealed. An optional objective—activating the ventilation system—becomes available.
Activating the Ventilation System
To tackle this optional task, consult your map for a marked fuse. After retrieving it, another marker points north to the engineering rooms. Be prepared for an invisible enemy within.
Proceed through the shelter's passageways to the engine room. Use the acquired fuse to restore power to the ventilation system, simplifying the mission's progression. While this side objective doesn't offer unique rewards, it streamlines subsequent steps.
Finding the Signal Source
Before proceeding, consider acquiring better weaponry, as challenges intensify. The marked location reveals a cave entrance near the water. Navigate the caverns westward, descending and traversing obstacles. A broken pipe aids ascent to higher cave levels.
Locate the large, cone-shaped spire to find the emitter at the marked point. An invisible enemy guards the exit. Return to Professor Lodochka to complete the mission, unlocking "Hornet's Nest" as the next main objective.
