Get ready, horror fans! Maid of Sker, the critically acclaimed survival horror game, is creeping onto Android devices this September. Having already chilled players on PC and consoles, this terrifying experience is poised to become a mobile favorite. Here's a sneak peek:
A Welsh Folklore Nightmare
The year is 1898. You're trapped in a secluded hotel with a gruesome history. As Thomas Evans, you'll investigate the unsettling events on Sker Island, the very island that inspired the song 'Y Ferch O’r Scer' and the novel, The Maid of Sker.
Thomas's investigation quickly turns deadly as he becomes the target of a vicious cult.
Survival depends on stealth and cunning. Avoid detection by the cult's gruesome members, whose hearing is exceptionally acute. Even a slight noise can attract unwanted attention. Careful navigation of your surroundings is key.
However, their heightened hearing can be turned against them. Clever use of sound can be used to your advantage, disrupting their pursuit and creating opportunities for escape.
Adding to the atmosphere, the soundtrack features haunting reinterpretations of classic Welsh hymns, such as Calon Lân and Ar Hyd Y Nos, performed by Tia Kalmaru, enhancing the game's already chilling ambiance.
