Nintendo Tokyo has launched a new line of collectible Zonai Device magnetic capsules, dispensed via their gacha machine. This article details these new collectible capsule toys.
New Zonai Device Gachapon at Nintendo Tokyo
Six magnetic Zonai Device capsules have been added to the Nintendo Tokyo gachapon (gacha machine) lineup. These exclusive collectibles feature iconic devices from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
While the game boasts a vast array of Zonai Devices, this collection includes six: the Zonai Fan, Flame Emitter, Portable Pot, Shock Emitter, Big Wheel, and Rocket. Each miniature device features a magnet designed to resemble the Ultrahand's adhesive, reflecting in-game functionality. The capsules themselves are styled after the in-game Device Dispensers.
Forgoing in-game Zonai Charges or Construct materials, players can obtain these collectibles for approximately $4 per capsule, with a two-capsule purchase limit per transaction. Repeat attempts require rejoining the queue, which may be lengthy given the popularity of Tears of the Kingdom.
Previous Nintendo Gachapon Releases
Nintendo's gachapon initiative began in June 2021 with the Controller Button Collection across Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto locations. This featured six controller keychains, equally representing Famicom and NES designs. A second wave, released in July 2024, expanded the collection to include SNES, N64, and Gamecube controllers.
These exclusive items are also available at Nintendo's Check-In booth at Narita Airport. While the Zonai Device capsules are currently Tokyo-exclusive, future availability at other locations or through resellers (at potentially inflated prices) remains a possibility.
