Two exclusive WoW mounts, the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar, are debuting in WoW China on January 15th. These mounts are reimagined versions of the incredibly rare Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar, respectively.
These new mounts are obtainable through separate promotions within WoW China. The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, a visually similar mount to its predecessor, boasts auspicious clouds within its wings when airborne, a significant symbol in Chinese culture. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a gilded variation of the original, features a black saddle and evocative flavor text referencing Kael'thas Sunstrider.
The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk is rewarded through a "Treasure Workshop" event, details of which are yet to be fully revealed. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar is obtainable from Landro's Loot Box, a ¥200 (approximately $27 USD) crate containing one of eight items, including other coveted rewards such as the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the Swift Spectral Tiger. Group purchases offer bonus crates.
Currently, there's no indication these mounts will be released internationally, leaving players outside China to appreciate them from afar. This release follows the successful return of World of Warcraft to China after a partnership renewal between NetEase and Blizzard.
