Solving the Overflowing Palette involves using a limited number of steps to dye blocks to a specific color (indicated in the bottom-left corner). The goal is to make all blocks the same color using the available dyes.
Whisperwind Haven Overflowing Palette Locations & Solutions
Location #1: This puzzle is inside Egla Town's cave (accessed via the Secret Entrance southeast of the Rinascita-Whisperwind Haven-Egla Town Resonance Beacon). Descend the stairs to the foggy stream and locate the artwork. To solve, follow these steps:
- Select yellow, then paint the red blocks.
- Select blue, then dye the yellow blocks.
- Select green, then paint the blue blocks.
Completing this puzzle triggers a call and initiates the "When Colors Fade" quest.
Location #2: Situated northwest of Egla Town, near the large lake. The objective is to make all blocks red:
- Select blue, and dye the top yellow blocks (red line).
- Select green, and paint the blue squares (pink line) and the underlying yellow blocks (yellow line).
- Select red, and paint all the green blocks.
Location #3: Found northwest of the Rinascita-Ragunna-Whisperwind Haven northern Resonance Beacon, by a lake. The solution for turning all blocks blue:
- Select red, and dye the green blocks.
- Select yellow, and paint the red squares.
- Select blue, and dye all the yellow blocks.
Location #4: Located northeast of Polyphemos Windmills. Teleport to the city's Resonance Beacon and jump from the northeastern edge. The solution:
- Select blue, and dye the green blocks.
- Select red, and paint the blue squares.
- Select yellow, and dye all the red blocks.
Utilizing Resonate Calcite
Resonate Calcite, a crafting material acquired by solving these puzzles, can be traded with Vida in Egla Town. She exchanges it for valuable items, including Poetry and Paean Weapon chests, and upgrade materials.
