While *Avowed* immerses players in the expansive world of the Living Lands, the main quest in Obsidian's latest RPG is relatively short. If you're eager for more content after the credits roll, here's what you can expect post-game in *Avowed*.
Does Avowed Have New Game Plus?
For many RPG enthusiasts and completionists, the thrill of replaying the main quest on a higher difficulty with accumulated skills and gear is unparalleled. Unfortunately, *Avowed* does not feature a New Game Plus mode at launch. However, there is hope on the horizon. Given the community's demand for this feature, Obsidian might introduce New Game Plus in a future update or DLC. In the meantime, *Avowed* offers ample replay value through its choice-driven narrative and diverse character builds, making it worthwhile to start a new save to explore different story outcomes and gameplay experiences.
Does Avowed Have Endgame Content?
What You Can Do After You Beat Avowed
With no New Game Plus and limited endgame content, *Avowed's* post-game offerings are somewhat underwhelming. After the final encounter, you'll be treated to animatic cutscenes that illustrate the consequences of your choices on the world and characters of the Living Lands. Once these scenes conclude, you'll return to the Main Menu.
From the Main Menu, you have two options: start a new journey with a different Envoy or reload a previous save. Autosaves are available just before the point of no return and before the final encounter, allowing you to replay these sections and make different choices to experience varied story endings.
Reloading to a save before the point of no return also lets you revisit earlier regions. You can complete any remaining side quests, collect missed items, and earn achievements. With your upgraded gear, revisiting early areas like Dawnshore can be particularly enjoyable, as the enemies won't scale to your level.
And that's what happens after you beat *Avowed*.
*Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.*
