Neowiz and Gamfs N have just launched the first content update for BrownDust2 since its 1.5-year anniversary celebration in December. Dubbed "Onsen Training," this update brings a sizzling mix of action and fun to the game.
Onsen Training: A Blend of Swords and Springs
Dive into the world of Onsen Training, set in a picturesque Japanese winter hot spring. This update introduces swordfighting battles and a host of challenges unique to BrownDust2. And yes, expect some hilarious monkey antics along the way.
Meet the New Characters
The update introduces three new characters to the roster. Ventana, the story's protagonist, is joined by Liberta, both available through the pickup draw. Meanwhile, Blade remains exclusive to the narrative, adding depth to the storyline.
The Onsen Training event unfolds in the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden’s Gate of BrownDust2, featuring a total of 30 battles—15 normal and 15 challenging modes.
Ventana's Journey
The story kicks off with Ventana, the captain of the Kendo Club, reeling from a humiliating defeat by the hands of Justia, a new student. In her quest to restore her honor, Ventana heads to a snowy mountain hot spring, known for boosting physical strength. However, her plans are thrown into disarray by the mischievous Snowy Mountain Monkeys.
Fortunately, she's rescued by Blade, a legendary Kendo Club alumnus. Despite his refusal to train her, Ventana finds an ally in Liberta, the hot spring manager, who vows to help her win Blade's mentorship.
Introducing Onsen Tile Tactics
A new mini-game, Onsen Tile Tactics, challenges players to clear tiles against the clock. The event story is divided into phases, starting with "Legendary Graduate" in the first week and culminating in "Beyond Legend" in the third week.
Players will face a mix of returning and new bosses. The first week sees the return of Giant Rou, the Fiend Hunter boss. In the third week, brace yourself for the Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a massive monkey empowered by DoT effects on enemies.
Additionally, the Guild Raid introduces Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, for the first time. This boss, devoid of properties, unleashes devastating attacks and demands a significant number of chain stacks to defeat.
New Gear and Costumes
Collect the new Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume, available until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume, accessible until February 13th.
