In the thrilling universe of *Astro Bot*, players have the chance to explore dozens of captivating worlds, but the real treasure lies within the secret Lost Galaxy. Accessible only through hidden portals scattered across ten different worlds, these portals are the key to unlocking a new dimension of adventure. Here’s a detailed guide to help you locate these elusive gateways and dive into the Lost Galaxy.
Where Are the Portal Locations to the Lost Galaxy in Astro Bot?
As you navigate through *Astro Bot*, keep an eye out for stages marked with a distinctive swirly icon on the selection screen, which indicates the presence of a Lost Galaxy portal. These portals can be cleverly hidden anywhere from the beginning to the end of a level. To save you time and effort, here’s a comprehensive guide detailing each portal’s location and how to access them.
Hidden Portal #1: Az-Tech Trail
Midway through the level, you’ll encounter a dark room with a wall surrounded by four lit torches. Use the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish each fire, and watch as the wall magically opens, revealing the portal to the Lost Galaxy.
Hidden Portal #2: Creamy Canyon
Early in the level, you’ll come across a snowy arena with a bouncing ladybug enemy. Just past it, you’ll find a charging pig. Grab it after its charge, then swing it towards the edge of the platform until you target an icy statue. Release the pig to destroy the statue, backtrack, flip over the ladybug, and bounce up to a new platform. A charged spin attack here will open a room containing the secret portal.
Hidden Portal #3: Go-Go Archipelago
After defeating Captain Pincher, turn to spot his claw embedded in the ground. A glowing light signals where to perform a charged spin attack. Drill into the ground to uncover a treasure-filled room and the secret portal.
Hidden Portal #4: Downsize Surprise
Near the level’s end, you’ll meet a bubble-blowing frog. By blowing into the controller, you trigger the frog to blow bubbles. Shrink down and catch a ride on a bubble, navigating to the branch above the bot. From there, move to the opposite branch to discover the secret portal.
Hidden Portal #5: Free Big Brother!
This portal is one of the easiest to find. Right at the start of the level, turn around to see platforms with an electric enemy. Swim over, bait the enemy to electrocute the platforms, and a wall will open, revealing the hidden portal.
Hidden Portal #6: Bathhouse Battle
Mid-level, locate a house with a flaming chimney. After absorbing water, climb to the roof and douse the flames. Descend the chimney to enter a room with the secret portal.
Hidden Portal #7: Hieiroglitch Pyramid
At the very end of the level, turn right to find an area with falling jewels. Use the bounce pad to enter a new area, but be ready for a trap. Locate the hidden switches in the walls to open the path to the secret portal.
Hidden Portal #8: Balloon Breeze
The most challenging portal to find, you’ll need the puffer-fish power-up. Backtrack to an area near the level’s start with a distant platform and a bouncing ladybug. Flip the ladybug, punch it towards the platform’s edge, bounce on it, activate the puffer-fish, and hover to the platform. Use motion controls to cut down surrounding bamboo to reveal the portal, then run around its perimeter to power it up.
Hidden Portal #9: Djinny of the Lamp
After defeating Djinny and reaching the goal, climb the ruins. Look for glowing ground indicating invisible platforms. Hover to each platform, guided by the glowing concrete slabs. Reach an elevated platform, unfurl a rug to ride to another platform, and find the secret portal at its end.
Hidden Portal #10: Frozen Meal
Before facing the boss, roll a snowball into a massive ball. Use it as a platform to reach an area along the cliff, where you’ll discover the final secret portal in *Astro Bot*.
