End Feud in Kingdom Come 2: Battle of Frogs & Mice Quest Guide

by Emery Mar 25,2025

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the ongoing feud between Prochek and Olbram can be a thorn in your side, but you have the power to put an end to it during the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest. Here’s how you can bring peace to the pasture and resolve their conflict once and for all.

How to Start Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

To kick off the Battle of the Frogs and Mice side quest, you'll first need to complete either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Once you've seen those quests through to the end, the Battle of the Frogs and Mice quest will unlock. Simply speak to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to get started, and then head over to the pasture to dive into the action.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

In this quest, Henry is once again caught between Prochek and Olbram. However, there’s a way to end their feud, which we'll cover in detail below. To side with one of them, speak to the person you wish to support. If you’re backing Prochek, find him in Tachov and say, “Let’s get those Zhelejovites!” If you’re siding with Olbram, meet him in Zhelejov and say, “Let’s go and see those Tachovites!”

During their talks at the pasture, avoid trying to reconcile them as it will only trigger an early fight. Instead, if you pass a dialogue check during negotiations, you can cause someone from the opposing side to flee, making the subsequent fight easier. Winning the fight for either side will net you some groschen.

For a more peaceful resolution, there's a way to end the feud. Before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram if they want to resolve their conflict. Then, travel to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush. Choose the dialogue option, “You’d finally have some peace.”

You'll need to pass a dialogue check to proceed. If successful, head to the scribe’s room to read the Troskowitz Chronicle. If you can't persuade Bailiff Thrush, you can sneak in to read it, but remember to save your game first.

Once in the scribe’s room, choose the dialogue option, “Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei.”

Next, go to the pasture and find three oak trees lined up next to each other. Examine the middle tree to find a nail. Your choices with the nail are:

  • Leaving it in the middle tree will split the pasture equally between Tachov and Zhelejov.
  • Putting the nail in the west tree will give more land to Tachov.
  • Putting the nail in the east tree will give more land to Zhelejov.

The choice of where to place the nail doesn’t significantly impact the outcome, so feel free to choose based on your preference or remain neutral. After deciding, speak with Bailiff Thrush again, and he’ll agree to end the feud. Then, bring Prochek or Olbram to the pasture, and you’ll successfully resolve their conflict.

Afterward, speak with Bailiff Thrush to receive the Master Studies I book.

That's how you can stop the feud during the Battle of the Frogs and Mice in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
