Lost Fantasy reunites Pires with Money artist Luca Casalanguida. The first issue boasts cover art from Casalanguida, Alex Diotto, Darick Robertson, and Jae Lee. The series will also feature a serialized backup story, Indigo Children: Exodus, a continuation of Pires' sci-fi series.

In Lost Fantasy, a hidden magical realm exists beneath our own. Over a century ago, a natural disaster triggered first contact, creating a rift that unleashed monsters into our world. "The protagonist's spiky white hair and large sword are a direct tribute to Tetsuya Nomura's iconic design for Cloud in Final Fantasy."
Pires added, "The 'Lost' in the title is a subtle nod to Hironobu Sakaguchi's Lost Odyssey, a criminally underrated masterpiece from Mistwalker."
