Orna, the fantasy RPG and GPS MMO by Northern Forge Studios, is launching Terra's Legacy, a unique in-game event tackling real-world environmental pollution. From September 9th to 19th, players fight pollution-themed enemies and contribute to cleaning up the planet.
Combating Pollution, In-Game and In Real Life
Terra's Legacy merges virtual gameplay with real-world environmental action. Players identify polluted locations in their area via the Orna app. These locations are then transformed into in-game "Gloomsites," represented by battles against the Murk, a pollution-themed enemy. Defeating the Murk raises awareness and allows players to plant virtual trees and grow Gaia apples in these designated areas. These apples can customize characters and enhance magical abilities, with the added benefit of being harvestable by other players. Increased player participation leads to a cleaner virtual and real world.
