Serial Cleaner, the quirky crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Originally released in 2019, this title is returning to mobile platforms. But will it be a simple port, or a significantly improved re-release?
The game plunges you into the gritty, yet comical, 1970s. As Bob Leaner, your job is to discreetly eliminate evidence of mob violence – bodies, bloodstains, the whole shebang – all while dodging patrolling police officers.
Our previous 2019 review described the original Serial Cleaner as promising but unfinished. Developer Plug-In Digital is now self-publishing this mobile version, suggesting a chance to address past shortcomings.
A Retro Revival?
Pre-registration is open, with a February 11th, 2025 release date. While the extent of improvements remains unclear, a polished re-release would certainly be welcome given the mixed reception of the original. However, given the time elapsed, significant enhancements might be unrealistic.
