At SXSW 2025 in Austin, Texas, Kojima Productions and Sony announced the release date for *Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2)* on March 9th. The reveal began with a captivating 10-minute trailer offering glimpses into the game's narrative and gameplay. The trailer suggests DS2 will continue exploring themes of human connection within a post-apocalyptic setting.Director Hideo Kojima presented the trailer alongside PlayStation's Kristen Zitan, and actors Norman Reedus (returning as Sam Porter Bridges), Troy Baker, and Woodkid. The trailer introduced a new character, Neil, played by Luca Marinelli, who leads a mysterious faction. Neil's appearance immediately drew comparisons to Solid Snake, particularly his signature headband.
