Tales of Series to Receive Consistent Remasters, Producer Confirms
The Tales of series will continue to see a steady stream of remasters, according to series producer Yusuke Tomizawa. This announcement was made during the recent Tales of Series 30th Anniversary Project Special Broadcast.
While specific titles and release dates remain undisclosed, Tomizawa assured fans that a dedicated development team is hard at work to bring more classic Tales of games to modern platforms "as much as possible." This commitment follows Bandai Namco's earlier statement acknowledging the strong demand from fans worldwide to experience older Tales of titles on current-generation consoles and PC. Many beloved entries in the 30-year-old franchise have been previously inaccessible to new players and those seeking to revisit cherished memories.
The upcoming release of Tales of Graces f Remastered on January 17, 2025, for consoles and PC serves as a prime example of this initiative. Originally released in 2009 for the Nintendo Wii, Tales of Graces f now receives a modern update, thanks to Bandai Namco's remastering efforts.
The 30th Anniversary broadcast itself was a celebration of the series' history, showcasing titles released since 1995 and featuring messages from key developers.
