WoW: Rare Riding Turtle Mount Now Available

by Chloe Nov 25,2024

The World of Warcraft is a busy place, teeming with highly dedicated players who have been crushing it for decades. It can be hard to stand out, but there are ways. For instance, you can demonstrate your skill and persistence by getting your hands on rare and precious in-game goodies like the Riding Turtle, a unique and gloriously impractical mount that marks you out as an absolute WoW legend. To add items like the Riding Turtle to your WoW inventory, you’ll need to redeem rare random loot cards until you get the result you’re looking for. And to give yourself the best possible odds, you’ll need plenty of Gold World Of Warcraft.Read on to learn more about the Riding Turtle, and how to add one to your inventory.  What is a Riding Turtle? In the latest WoW pre-update, Blizzard has allowed a bunch of gamers to take solo-only groups. This in turn has created the opportunity of players to obtain exotic creatures like the Riding Turtle and the Sea Turtle. We’re going to give you a quick overview of the various tricks you can employ to obtain these collectible items, and to convert the loot you collect into cash. It’s worth bearing in mind that the methods we’re about to describe might not be around forever. While totally within the rules, they seem too good to be true, and Blizzard may well come to the same conclusion and tweak the system.  So you should grab those mounts sooner rather than later. Seeing the Angle(r)sIn case you hadn’t realised, there’s a hidden treasure within your own garrison’s waters. Alliance players can catch Lunarfall Carp, while Horde players can reel in Frostdeep Minnow, all by visiting your fishing shack. Once you’ve caught them, you can return them to the lake to summon the Lunarfall Cavedweller and the Frostdeep Cavedweller. And it’s through these formidable mobs that you can obtain the much sought-after Riding Turtle and Sea Turtle mounts. But before you begin this angling odyssey you’ll need the Draenor Angler achievement, earned by catching 100 of each Enormous Fish species in Warlords of Draenor.

This achievement gives you the blueprint for a level 3 garrison fishing shack, and our anecdotal but persuasive evidence suggests that carps and minnows are impossible without this facility.
Even with it, these fish have a droprate of 3%—though it’s very likely that you can improve those odds by equipping your best gear and using your most powerful boosts.
Why Now Is the Time to Strike
Once upon a time, only the player who tagged the Cave Dweller would be able to claim the rewards, making the enterprise a fairly tedious solo affair.
The latest patch has changed all that, allowing raid groups of up to 40 players to share the Cave Dweller spoils. As a result, fishing in WoW is not only more communal, but more lucrative too.
And the odds of obtaining those rare mounts have skyrocketed.
Previously, gaining a Riding Turtle or Sea Turtle meant overcoming a fishing drop rate of 3% and then a Cave Dweller drop rate of 0.5%. These odds are infinitely less daunting now that you’ve got up to 40 extra chances to beat them.
It’s worth knowing that you don’t need to have the Draenor Angler achievement to join the raid.
Group leaders may not select you if you can’t demonstrate loot potential. After all, if you can’t catch your own carps and minnows, you’re effectively leeching off your comrades, which doesn’t always go down well.
But it’s worth hunting around for a welcoming group, or trying to create your own, given the potential rewards.
