Treyarch is marking 115 Day with an exciting mystery box full of announcements for *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies*, including the much-anticipated reveal of a new map named **The Tomb**. This January 15 celebration is a significant event for *Call of Duty* enthusiasts, highlighted by a comprehensive blog post detailing all the upcoming zombie-themed surprises.

The star of today's announcements is undoubtedly **The Tomb**, a new Zombies map set in a sandy environment that will debut with the launch of Season 2 on January 28. This new addition to the Zombies universe follows closely on the heels of Season 1's **Citadelle des Morts**, promising another thrilling chapter in less than two weeks.

According to Treyarch, the narrative continues from the aftermath of **Citadelle des Morts**, where characters Weaver, Grey, Carver, and Maya pursue Gabriel Krafft’s final words to an excavation site to secure the Sentinel Artifact. The Tomb is built on ancient burial grounds, with origins tracing back to 2500 B.C.E. These catacombs, undisturbed for centuries until the early 1900s, hold secrets that may be deeper than anyone imagined.

Treyarch describes **The Tomb** as a mysterious locale with connections to a British archeologist, Sir Archibald Fotherington-Smythe, though details on how it ties into the broader Zombies storyline remain scarce. In terms of gameplay, this new map promises an experience akin to **Liberty Falls**, offering tight play spaces and a focus on replayability as players uncover numerous Easter eggs.

Additionally, Treyarch teases a reimagined Wonder Weapon inspired by past iterations and the return of a fan-favorite SMG, though specifics are yet to be revealed.

Season 2 also brings a robust set of quality-of-life improvements and new features long requested by the community. Players will now be able to track up to 10 Calling Card challenges and 10 Camo challenges across Zombies and Multiplayer. Zombies mode will feature a co-op pause option, allowing the party leader to pause matches mid-run. HUD presets for Zombies and Multiplayer will be separated, and players can rejoin Zombies matches with their loadout if disconnected.

To celebrate 115 Day, *Black Ops 6* players can enjoy double GobbleGum earn rates and double XP for players, weapons, and the battle pass from now until 10am PT on January 21. Treyarch also shared impressive stats for the story-driven Directed Mode, revealing that players have invested over 480 million hours into *Black Ops 6 Zombies*.

"Our goal from the start for Directed Mode was simple: grow the Zombies community by guiding new players through the Main Quests with some guardrails in place, so they can experience the storyline and hopefully become lifelong Zombies fans," the team stated. "Since Directed Mode went live, our average Main Quest completion rate has more than doubled, going from 3.38% on November 14 to 8.23% today."

Fans will be eager to hear the voices of the Zombies characters in **The Tomb**, especially after Activision's recent announcement that some beloved characters have been recast amid the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
