Free Speed Camera GPS Radar: Your On-Road Safety Companion
This app helps drivers identify potential road hazards, including speed cameras (fixed, mobile, and red-light cameras), speed bumps, and poor road conditions. It leverages a user-contributed database of Points of Interest (POIs) and hazards.
GPS must be enabled for accurate hazard detection. The app boasts global coverage, allowing users worldwide to benefit from its features.
Registered users enjoy enhanced capabilities: adding new hazards to the shared database, rating existing hazards (confirming or denying danger alerts), and even removing irrelevant POIs from the database.
For hands-free operation, enable the "Use speech when hazard detected" option to receive audio alerts, even with the screen off.
How to Use:
- Upon installation, update the speed camera database for your region via the "Update Database" menu.
- Tap the "Start" button (bottom right) to activate the radar.
- Alerts are triggered only for hazards along your current route.
- Access main settings by swiping from the left edge of the screen to the right.
- Swipe from right to left to access and filter the types of hazards you wish to see.
