The popular mobile RPG, The Tale of Food, is closing its doors. Initially launched in China in September 2019 (closed beta), and later distributed by Tencent Games, this game featuring personified food characters will officially shut down on March 20th, 2025, at 10:00 AM (UTC+8).
The Tale of Food Shutdown Details:
In-app purchases have been disabled as of February 18th, 2025. New player registrations are also closed, and the game has been removed from the Google Play Store. Existing players can continue playing until the servers close on March 20th.
Refunds for In-Game Purchases:
Players who made in-game purchases between January 9th and February 18th, 2025, are eligible for a refund. Contact in-game support or email the developers before March 20th to request a refund. - Japan Server: April 2023
- China Server: June 2024
- Global Server: March 20th, 2025
While the game itself will be unavailable after March 20th, the official X, Facebook, and Discord communities will remain active for players to connect and share memories.
