Atomfall Developers Reveal Extended Gameplay Trailer with World and Survival Details

Atomfall, a new game from Rebellion, has unveiled an extensive gameplay trailer showcasing its retro-futuristic world and core mechanics. Set in a 1962 nuclear disaster quarantine zone in Northern England, players explore a hazardous landscape, uncovering mysteries through investigation and interactions with diverse NPCs.

The player character lacks a predefined identity, fostering immersive and personalized gameplay. Instead of a traditional quest system, Atomfall prioritizes exploration and discovery, creating a more organic experience.

Survival hinges on resource management and bartering with traders, as currency is worthless within the quarantine zone. Players face constant threats from gangs, cultists, mutants, and dangerous machinery. Limited inventory space necessitates strategic choices regarding equipment. The environment itself presents challenges, with traps and mines adding to the perilous journey.

Graphically, Atomfall maintains Rebellion's atmospheric style, offering a detailed, albeit not visually revolutionary, depiction of post-apocalyptic England. The scarcity of inventory space adds a layer of strategic depth, forcing players to carefully consider their loadout. Gear upgrades, especially for melee weapons, are crucial for combating various enemies, including sect members, bandits, and mutants.

Atomfall will be released on March 27th for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and will be available on Game Pass on launch day.
