Crusader Kings III Chapter IV: Expanding Horizons with Mongols and Asia

Paradox Interactive has unveiled its ambitious plans for Crusader Kings III in 2025, launching Chapter IV: a year-long journey focused on expanding the game into Asia with new mechanics and regions.

The chapter begins with the recently released Crowns of the World cosmetic DLC. This stylish pack provides six new crowns, four hairstyles, and two beards, offering players more ways to personalize their rulers.

Next up, on April 28th, is the major DLC Khans of the Steppe. This expansion lets players lead Mongol hordes as the Great Khan, conquering lands and establishing dominance across vast territories.

Following the Khans of the Steppe, Coronations will arrive in Q3 (July-September). This DLC introduces a significant ceremonial mechanic, allowing players to legitimize their reign through grand coronation events. Expect extravagant festivities, solemn vows, and crucial decisions shaping your kingdom's future. New advisor and vassal events will also deepen political interactions, adding considerable depth to royal succession.

The grand finale of Chapter IV is All Under Heaven, a massive expansion arriving later this year. This expansion dramatically expands the game's map to encompass all of East Asia, including richly detailed representations of China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players will have vast new territories to explore, conquer, and rule.

Between these major DLC releases, Paradox will continue to release patches to improve game systems and AI behavior. The developers actively encourage player feedback to shape future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26th.
