First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is confirmed to have an eight-episode first season. Studio Mir's involvement promises a visually stunning adaptation.

While plot specifics remain shrouded in mystery, it seems Dante, as he appeared in the first three Devil May Cry games, will be the central character, though any direct game connections are yet to be officially confirmed. Interestingly, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero in the video games, will be lending his talents to the role of Dante.

The latest installment in the Devil May Cry franchise, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return for the series after a period of relative inactivity following 2013's DmC: Devil May Cry. A critically acclaimed action title, Devil May Cry 5 is a must-play, especially for fans of games like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our comprehensive review here.
