THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a new trailer for the "Nyras Prologue" demo of the Gothic 1 Remake. This demo, released during the Steam Next Fest, lets players experience the remake as Nyras, a prisoner striving for survival in the game's unforgiving world – a goal mirroring the Nameless Hero's journey in the original Gothic.
The demo has already broken concurrent player records for the entire Gothic series:

The prologue showcases the remake's enhanced visuals, animations, and Unreal Engine 5-powered combat system. While it doesn't fully represent the expansive gameplay and RPG depth of the complete game, it offers a compelling glimpse into what's to come.
The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and GOG), though a specific release date remains unannounced.
