Master the Fountain of Confession Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
This guide details how to solve the intricate Fountain of Confession puzzle within the Vatican section of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, unlocking the mystery of the giants. Remember to photograph all clues (statues, murals, inscriptions) for Adventure Points.
Accessing the Puzzle:
After completing the Sacred Wounds puzzle, use your journal map to locate the Fountain of Confession in the outer courtyard.
Phase 1: The Dragon Statues:
- Locate the chest near the fountain's construction area; it contains the fountain key.
- Use the key to access the storage room.
- Use your whip to rappel to the roof, then swing to the fountain's top.
- Swing to the second dragon statue and use its claw lever to rotate it to face the opposite dragon.
- The first dragon's claw will fall; retrieve it from the scaffolding.
- Return to the statue, attach the claw, and rotate it to face its counterpart. This rotates the ground-level fountain statue.
Phase 2: The Wall Puzzles:
- Use your whip to pull the rotated fountain statue, revealing a gate blocked by three statues and a lever.
- Indy and Gina will activate the lever, revealing the first wall puzzle (a baptism scene). Use the inscriptions for clues.
- Position the larger male statue under the water bucket, activate the water mechanism, and push the statue to "baptize" the smaller one. This moves a gate statue.
- Reactivate the lever to reveal the second puzzle (moving an angel figure). Manipulate the stone path layers using the handles to guide the angel to the right. This moves the second gate statue.
- Push the remaining central statue through the now-open gate to activate a spiral staircase.
Congratulations! You've solved the Fountain of Confession puzzle. Continue your adventure in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, available now on PC and Xbox.
