Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide
Marvel Rivals, the free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter, features a competitive mode with a ranking system. This guide explains the competitive rank reset mechanics.
Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics
At the end of each season in Marvel Rivals, your competitive rank is demoted by seven tiers. For example, a player ending the season at Diamond I will begin the next season at Gold II. Players ending the season at Bronze III (the lowest rank) remain at Bronze III.
Rank Reset Timing
The competitive rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. Season 1, for example, began on January 10th, and the reset is expected to coincide with the season's end.
All Ranks in Marvel Rivals
Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Players earn points to progress through the ranks. Each 100 points earned advances the player to the next tier. The ranks are:
- Bronze (III-I)
- Silver (III-I)
- Gold (III-I)
- Platinum (III-I)
- Diamond (III-I)
- Grandmaster (III-I)
- Eternity
- One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)
Even after reaching Grandmaster I, players can continue earning points to reach Eternity and One Above All. One Above All requires a top 500 leaderboard placement.
Season Length
While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are anticipated to last approximately three months. New seasons introduce new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, providing ample time to climb the ranks.
