Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown

Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown from Marvel Rivals Wiki

Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown was the first map to debut in *Marvel Rivals* Season 1, launching right at the start of the season. This map is tailored for the game’s payload-style mode known as Convoy, where teams either escort or attempt to stop a moving vehicle across the map. It’s the third Convoy map in *Rivals*, joining Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands.

Set under the eerie glow of Dracula’s Blood Moon, Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown transforms New York City into a dark, thrilling battleground. Players will navigate through iconic locations such as:

  • Baxter Building
  • Grand Central Terminal
  • Stark/Avengers Tower
  • Fisk Tower
  • Ardmore’s Bookstore
  • Timely Trend

Empire of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Santorum

Empire of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Santorum

The Empire of Eternal Night version of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Santorum was introduced in Season 1, serving as the exclusive battleground for the Doom Match mode. This free-for-all deathmatch mode pits players against each other, with the top half of the leaderboard at the match's end earning wins, and the top player crowned MVP.

The Sanctum Santorum is a stunning rendition of Doctor Strange’s mystical mansion, which first appeared in a 1963 comic and has since become a staple in the *MCU*. Located in New York City, it stands as Earth’s supernatural defense hub in *Marvel Rivals*. The map is packed with secrets and easter eggs, including supernatural rooms with impossible ceilings, portals, an infinite staircase, and even Bats The Ghost Dog for players to interact with.

Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park

Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park

Expected to launch in the latter part of *Marvel Rivals* Season 1, the Central Park map remains shrouded in mystery. In the real world, Central Park is nestled between Manhattan's Upper West and Upper East Sides and has appeared in various *Marvel* media, most recently in the 2023 *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2* video game.

In *Marvel Rivals*, the map will focus on a stylized version of Belvedere Castle, a Gothic architectural marvel situated at one of the park's highest points. This setting will perfectly complement the Empire of Eternal Night theme, potentially serving as a hideout for Dracula within the game's rendition of New York City.

These are all the new maps introduced in *Marvel Rivals* Season 1, each offering unique settings and gameplay experiences that enrich the Marvel universe within the game.
