Monster Hunter Wilds Patch 1.000.05.00 Resolves Quest Issues, No Performance Boost Yet

by Ryan Mar 26,2025

Capcom has rolled out Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, bringing crucial improvements and fixes to enhance your gaming experience. This patch tackles various progression blockers and resolves numerous bugs, although it doesn't include performance enhancements as detailed in the patch notes below.

Despite its record-breaking launch, Monster Hunter Wilds currently holds a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, primarily due to performance issues on PC. However, the game's success is undeniable, having sold an impressive 8 million copies in just three days, making it the fastest-selling Capcom game ever. It also boasts the fifth highest concurrent player count on Steam, peaking at 1,384,608 players, surpassing the likes of Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. For comparison, Monster Hunter: World reached a peak of 334,684 players.

Looking ahead, a title update for Monster Hunter Wilds is slated for early April, promising a new endgame area for gathering and additional monster hunting adventures.
